2026 Summer Camp

Welcome

MCGSA 2026 SUMMER SOFTBALL CAMP

Dates: June 8 - 11, 2026 (Monday - Thursday)

Ages: 6-12 (age determined as of June 1)

Cost: $225/week full day
             $175/week for half-day (9:00 - 11:30am)

Location:  Murphey Candler Park - 1665 W Nancy Creek Drive, Brookhaven GA 30319

Time: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

 

Early Drop Off and Late Pick Up:

Minimum of 5 registrants will need to sign up for the Early Drop and Late Pick Up program to run

Early Drop Off (8:00AM -9:00AM) - $50/week

Late Pick Up (2:00PM - 3:00PM) - $50/week

 

Description: Murphey Candler Softball and Kids at Play Atlanta, LLC. are teaming up to provide a fun filled week of softball, camaraderie, water games, and learning. Former players at MC will help provide instruction to the young up and coming girls of MC and the broader community.

 

Location: Murphey Candler Park softball fields:

  • 5 softball fields
  • Pavilion
  • 6 Cages
  • 4 Pitching Lanes

 

Registration Platform: Campers can register and complete all required permissions, waivers,  and medical forms on Sports Engine, which will be accessible from the Murphey Candler  (https://www.mcgsa.com) and Kids at Play Atlanta websites:  (https://www.kidsatplayatl.com).

 

Lunches: Campers are expected to bring their own waters and lunches and those will be refrigerated as needed. Gatorades and Snacks will be sold during snack and lunch time.

 

Inclement Weather: In the case of inclement weather we will utilize Friday, June 12th as a makeup camp date.

 

Camp Outline:

9:00 - 9:15 - Check In

9:15 - 9:35 - Stretch/Warm Up

9:35 - 9:40 - Water Break

9:45 - 10:15 - Hitting Stations

10:30 - 10:45 - Snack

10:45 - 11:30 - Contest of the Day

11:30 - 12:30 - Lunch

12:30 - 1:00 - Water Contest of the Day

1:00 - 1:50 - Camp Tournament Games 

1:50 - 2:00 - Daily Awards/Check Out

 

Equipment Needed:

Campers should be dressed in appropriate clothing at the start of camp which includes softball pants/shorts, t-shirt, long socks, and cleats.

• Softball Glove, Bat & Helmet (helmet is optional)

• Gym shoes

• T-shirt and shorts

• Lunch

• Cold drinks. Water will be provided, but campers are encouraged to bring their own as well.

• Campers SHOULD NOT bring watches, any jewelry, or other small articles of value which could be lost easily.
